Mrs. Ysebaert's Class

General Education

Welcome, we will post how to access online learning for the 2020-2021 year soon.

Introduction:  I have always wanted to be a teacher.  My mom taught school until she turned 80 last year.  I live in the mountains with my wonderful husband who teaches JROTC at Loveland High School. I have three wonderful daughters, three grandsons and a grandaughter who is due at the end of September.  I have been teaching a total of 30 years,  20 years in this district.  I can't wait to teach your student.

Prodigy is a fun way to practice more math we will add students and give you access codes soon.  The Tarver resource links page has great ebooks and other resources if you click the data base on Makin Via  user name Tarver password Tigers.

As you begin using online learning, use your best judgement and be flexible. If your student is getting frustrated, please contact me, so that I can help you solve problems as quickly as possible.  Please be prepared for a learning curve using the new technology tools.  I am guessing there will be a few difficulties as we are learning. Usually, the more positive you are about new learning the more positive your student will be.  Remind students that everyone makes mistates, especially when trying something new.  We learn from these mistakes and grow from them.

You can use play time or screen time as incentives.    Try to have fun and celebrate any small learning moments!

Email is the best way to contact me.

I will ask specific students to use Waterford.  It is a hepful tool if students need some reteaching for specific reading/ phonics skills.  I will help students and parents with this after assessments are complete.

Thank you,

Kathleen Ysebaert
