Tarver Earns Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award

Tracy Dorland, Deputy Superintendent, and Kim Walsh, Executive Director of Elementary Schools, visited Tarver to present us the Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award for our performance on the 2017 CMAS assessments. Congratulations students and staff for your hard work! Thank you Tarver community for your support and encouragement.    The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools "exceed" expectations on the indicator related to longitudinal academic growth and "meet or exceed" expectations on the indicator related to academic growth gaps.

Mr. Trujillo was presented with our official award certificate and banner at an event on March 21st.
