Our Principal
I am honored to be the Principal but most importantly I am proud to be a part of the great team of teachers and students here at Tarver Elementary. I believe we have a strong community which is always willing to lend a helping hand and support our efforts.
The Adams 12 community has played a major role in my life and development of who I am today as a building administrator. I attended Woodglen Elementary, Northeast Junior High, and then graduated from Horizon High School. While attending Metro State I was employed by Adams 12 as a BASE Director at Mountain View Elementary. After college, I was hired to teach fifth grade at the same elementary school. Legacy High School was my next stop, while there I served as a Guidance Counselor and then as an Assistant Principal over curriculum and instruction. During my time at Legacy I also coached both boys and girls soccer. After ten years at the high school level, I returned to elementary as an Assistant Principal and then one year later I was named the Principal of Tarver Elementary.
I have enjoyed my journey through Adams 12. There have been many people who have influenced and encouraged me over the years. My involvement in various roles throughout the years provides me with multiple perspectives which is important when making decisions that will influence the Tarver community. My hope and goal is to make Tarver the BEST school out there - one that will meet the needs (socially, emotionally, and academically) of all students, one that parents trust and respect, and one that we all can take ownership in.
