I began my teaching career 26 years ago in Page, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. I returned to Colorado after 3 years to pursue a Master’s degree in Literacy at CU-Boulder. I have been with Adams 12 Schools for the past 23 years teaching kindergarten, first grade and now, as the Academic Interventionist. My teaching week is split between Tarver Elementary and The Studio School. In my new role of Interventionist, I get to teach reading all day long to amazing and brilliant kiddos!
When not in the classroom, I can be found hiking all year long! This summer, I saw a black bear on the trail (Luckily, she did not see me!) and was almost run over by a baby moose! I also enjoy quilting, reading, working out and spending time with family and friends. I have two beautiful daughters. Autumn just graduated from High School and Gabi is a sophomore at Horizon High School. Two spoiled rotten puppies, Tinker and Bitzi, complete our family.
I am anxious to meet all of you and know this is going to be a great year!
