I am so excited to be a new Tarver Tiger! My children went to Tarver, and I am excited to be a part of this wonderful community again. I am originally from the Kansas City area, and we go back as often as we can. This is my 17th year of teaching in Adams 12. I have also taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade. In addition to teaching at the elementary level , I have multiple years of expereience working with kids in preschool. I've had classrooms in Texas, Kansas, and Colorado. I believe that all students are learners and I want to instill a love of lifelong learning in each of them.
I attended William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Finance. I also worked on my master's degree in Finance at Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. After working with kids in preschool, I realized that teaching was my passion, and received my Certificate of Elementary Education from Ottawa University in Overland Park, KS.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 children, and 5 grandchildren. I also love reading, going to concerts, crocheting, gardening, running, camping and hiking.
