I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. This is my 29th year of teaching. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. My career started in a District 14 school and I taught there for three years. After the third year of teaching, I moved to Adams 12 where I was educated through grades 5-12. I attended North Mor Elementary, Cotton Creek Elementary, Huron Middle School, and graduated from Northglenn High School. I have taught at Federal Heights Elementary and am currently a fifth grade teacher at Tarver Elementary. This is my 20h year at Tarver and my 29th year of teaching. I am very fortunate to work in such a wonderful school with great students and supportive parents. After teaching eight years, I decided to continue my education at the University of Phoenix. I received my Master’s degree in Diverse Learners.
My husband Dave and I are native to Colorado. We have two beautiful children, Alicia, age 18, and Johnathan, age 17. Alicia is attending the University of Northern Colorado. She will be majoring in jazz vocal. Johnathan is a senior at Horizon High School. I enjoy going on vacations, playing golf, playing softball, spending time with family, and going to sporting events. We enjoy going to Colorado Rockies games during the summer. Also, we are fortunate to live in Colorado. We enjoy the outdoors and admire the beautiful scenery that Colorado offers.
